I’ve always been a bit of a ‘crafty’ person – knitting, crochet, tatting etc. My main love was cross-stitch, though. Everything I made I framed and put it on the walls. I did so many that I eventually ran out of walls. So, I packed up the ones I hadn’t framed and when space finally ran out, I decided to try something else.
I remember buying a new outfit around that time that desperately needed accessorizing and I simply couldn’t find anything to match that was reasonably priced. I happened to be looking for more cross-stitch patterns when I stumbled across the jewellery making department – and the rest, as they say, is history. My psychiatrist was overjoyed.
I made all kinds of things to begin with, but I really loved the Swarovski crystals and pearls. There was no stopping me – until I ran out of jewellery space! I pondered the situation. I could give it away for presents except I didn’t know that many people well enough to bestow them with my sparkly goodies. Of course, my husband had a better idea – sell it. So, here I am …
